COVID-19 Updates

Currently
St. Matthew supports your personal decisions whether to mask or not mask. We have a spacious sanctuary with plenty of seating room to distance as needed. Also, a social distancing area is offered in the social hall during the service where you can watch and listen to the service, with hymnals, bulletin, and hand sanitizer available. Livestreaming continues to be an available option if you prefer to worship online.

January 2022 - We strongly encourage in person worship at St. Matthew. As Pastor Meilner has reminded us with recent lessons and sermons, We only have one thing to fear, which is God himself. God tells us do not be afraid of anything else in this world. We should not fear worshipping God in his church! St. Matthew has a wondrously spacious and beautiful sanctuary and facility, with plenty of room and comfort to socially distance, worship in person, and hear the message of His salvation He has given for all. We support and encourage your choice to use a mask if you so choose. If you don't feel well any particular Sunday, we offer each weeks service streamed on our Facebook page.

09/05/2021 - We encourage mask use inddoors, but if you are vaccinated, it is your option. We do ask to continue to socially distance when seating in the pews. Please continue to wear a mask if you are not yet vaccinated.

08/17/2021 - As the Delta variant gains momentum, we encourage the use of masks indoor but it is not a requirement at this time. Each individual needs to make their own decision on their mask choice. We do ask if you have not been vaccinated to please use a mask.

05/28/2021 - Covid update - St. Matthew is following the guidance of the state of Minnesota as all restrictions are lifted as of May 29. St. Matthew asks anyone not vaccinated and attending services indoors that they continue to wear masks. We will continue to encourage social distancing between families, members, and visitors when possible. If you do not feel well to attend in person, we livestream Sunday morning service on the church Facebook page.

History....

11/11/2020 - COVID update - St. Matthew continues to follow state guidelines regarding churches. We offer remote worship and live, in-person services at reduced capacity with masks required to be worn indoors. We use every 3rd pew for seating and rotate pews between services so they are not reused that Sunday.

Sunday school policy will follow the same policy as the school district. When remote learning is in place, Sunday School lessons will be shown online only. If in person, the social hall is used so there is plenty of social distancing space.

Sunday worship services:

9:00AM - Live in person with social distance policy in place, and also streamed live on the church Facebook page. Also this service is broadcast on KFIL radio the following Sunday at 9:00AM.

10:45AM - Live in person with social distance policy in place.

Plenty of seating room at both services, especially the 10:45AM service.

Please worship with us in which ever manner you feel safest. We offer online giving for those interested.

Communion is offered the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sunday of each month.

If Pastor Morsching or an Elder can be of service to you, please contact us thru the listed church office numbers.

God's blessing to all!

7/25/2020 - We are have opened up the church for live, in person service at 9:00am as of 6/7 at 25% church capacity, following the guidelines of the synod and the state of MN.

Per new state guidelines, masks are required for the indoor service.

11/01/2020 - With winter approaching, we have ended the outdoor service and started a second indoor service at 10:45am. We rotate the seating between services so that the same pews are not used at the later service as the earlier service. There is plenty of seating available!

We continue to also livestream services and some Sunday school lessons on our church Facebook page. You can watch the 9AM indoor service live or replay them at your convenience. You can click our link here to open a new window with our Facebook page...

Correspondence, offerings, etc. can continue to be mailed to the church office, and we are setting up Joyful Response electronic giving.

If you need to speak with Pastor, please utilize his email and phone numbers as necessary. Please 'like' our Facebook page to stay updated on the latest info from St. Matthew.

We plan to continue the KFIL radio broadcast KFIL 1060AM or 103.1 FM on Sunday mornings at 9am and are now posting sermon streams to Facebook Live.

Stay tuned, stay in touch, be kind, and take care of one another. If St. Matthew can be of any service, please contact us.

Sincerely,

The Elders Committee of St. Matthew.
